CHAI CYCLE

Cycling, Conversation & Jewish Community

A Bear with a Twist! (Pleasant Hill - Orinda loop)

Last year, we did a variation on this route, and we were so proud of ourselves that we said we'd do it again next year to see how we'd improved.

Join us on Sunday, December 7, for a 30-mile ride through the hills of Lafayette/Moraga and Orinda. 2100 feet of climbing. This is one of those rides where you oogle to scenery and then you oogle the huge houses. Probably will be chilly on the downhills, so bring layers. Coffee stop at mile 22.

Meet at 8:45 AM, ride by 9:00 AM.

Must bring a helmet, water bottle, and tire change kit. 18 years and older.

Conversation Topic: TBD.

To RSVP for the starting location, please email chaicycle2@gmail.com or text 510.207.0748. In case of rain, ride morphs into breakfast.

*Typically, the group rides 12-15 miles, stops for a 30-minute conversation/text study, and then continues to ride for another 10-15 miles. Non-riders are welcome to join us at the rest stop.

Please note:
Riders need to sign the waiver below only once per year.

Blog

Our circle forms bit by bit as we finish prepping for our morning ride.  We stand in intentional community, a group of bicyclists coming together for cycling, community and Jewish conversation.  We take a moment to articulate our intention in gathering as a group of Jewish cyclists.
